Twenty Godley High School students were inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society on February 28, 2023.

Inductees were Kane Albee, Aiden Baker, Zackary Blincoe, Keegan Bohannon, Brooke Brannom, Alyssa Castillo, Amiya Edwards, Meredith Eurton, Catrina Leverett, Vianney Martinez, Bryanna Morales, Isabelle Ortega, Juliana Rocha, Alyana Serrano, Kinlee Smith, Kaitlyn Tindol, Lexi Tyler, Bella Van Wart, Caitlyn White and Ava Wilson.

Chapter officers are: Jacquelline Balderas, president; Carsyn Wheeler, vice president; Morgan Hood, secretary and treasurer.

The honor society for high school students enrolled in Spanish or Portuguese is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP). Organized in 1953 as the Spanish National Honor Society, the name was changed to Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica in 1959. Students must demonstrate high achievement in their classes.
