
Godley High School soccer student-athletes earned multiple top honors and 21 total selections on the District 6-4A all-district teams following a historic season for both the Ladycats and Wildcats.
The Ladycats were recognized with three major superlative awards. Sophia Hodges was named Defensive MVP, Jordyn Hutt earned Defensive Newcomer of the Year, and Makenna Jaskolowski was selected as Offensive Newcomer of the Year.


Godley’s girls team delivered one of the most successful seasons in program history, advancing to the Class 4A Division II state semifinals after capturing the regional championship. The Ladycats opened the playoffs with a 5-1 bi-district win over Academy, followed by a 3-2 area round victory over Lake Worth, a 1-0 regional semifinal win against Graham, and a 4-0 regional final win over Greenwood.

- Honorable Mention: Eden Kelly, Julyssa Ortiz, Rylee Swanson

The Wildcats also celebrated a milestone season, earning the program’s first-ever playoff berth. Godley finished 7-5 in District 6-4A play and competed in a bi-district matchup against Brownwood, marking a significant step forward for the program.
Gerson Moreno was named Offensive MVP to lead the Wildcats’ all-district honors.

The Ladycats are led by head coach Kasie Welborn and assistant coach Alice Brooks, while the Wildcats are led by head coach Ever Cisneros and assistant coach Billy Dan Chambliess.
