Godley High School was in the spotlight at the Godley ISD school board meeting on November 18, 2024, at GHS.

Principal Kurtis Flood highlighted the wide-variety of academic and extracurricular activities and opportunities available to GHS students.

The principal discussed the school's implementation of the community-based accountability system, which is based upon the hopes and dreams of the Godley community and built around seven important pillars.  CBAS is a locally-developed accountability system, measures benefits and effectiveness of GISD schools, highlights district successes and areas for improvement, and incorporates state testing and accountability.

Flood also introduced his Principal’s Advisory Committee, a group of students who applied and interviewed to join the student panel. The committee, which is a diverse group involved in many activities across the campus, will meet regularly with the principal and assistant principals to discuss campus matters and brainstorm ideas.

PAC members are Taber Anderson, Rylie Bax, Bailey Block, Gavin Bridges, Nola Briscoe, Regan DeLeon, Emily Gboyah, Noelia Guerrero, Lila Heiner, Emily Holton, James Hornbeck, Jardiel Jimenez, Leslie Rodriguez, Jordan Tawwatters, Brady Thomas, Bella Van Wart, Dakota Watson and Kyla Williams.
