Thirteen Godley High School band students earned honors at the UIL solo and ensemble contest on February 17, 2024, at Aledo High School.

Receiving superior and excellent ratings at the Region 30 contest were:

• Superior Ratings and advancing to state:  Hunter Hardin, tuba solo; Gavin Jorgensen, French horn solo; Glenn Leevy, mallet solo; Julia Roy, trumpet solo; Thomas Zach, mallet solo

• Superior Ratings:  Michael Asbel, trombone solo; Samantha Foran, flute solo; Juliana Rocha, flute solo; Joshua Stacks, baritone saxophone solo

• Excellent Ratings:  Aiden Hart, tuba solo; Iliana Villa, piano solo; Zachary Waits, tuba solo; Kannon Ward, mallet solo

The Texas State Solo-Ensemble Contest is set for May 25-27 in Austin.
