Godley High School band students earned honors at the UIL solo and ensemble contest on February 18, 2023, at Aledo High School.

A clarinet trio of Ketrevian Adams, Alexis Jacobi and Saul Valle received a Division I superior rating.  Soloists with the top rating were Zackary Blincoe (drumset), Julia Roy (trumpet), Iliana Villa (piano), Kannon Ward (mallet) and Thomas Zach (mallet).  Each qualifies for the state competition.

Earning excellent ratings were soloists Alexis Jacobi (clarinet) and Rafael Rojas (saxophone).

The Texas State Solo-Ensemble Contest is set for May 27-29 in Austin.
