Godley High School seniors Peyton Bower, Calleigh Brewer, Madelynne Fitzgerald and Abbi Lee recently hosted Friends Fest in the GHS Arena as part of their senior project.

The event welcomed students of all abilities for a day of creativity, activity and connection as participants rotated through a variety of interactive stations organized and led by Godley High School student volunteers.

Stations included arts and crafts, indoor physical education activities and STEM-related challenges, giving students opportunities to explore hands-on learning while enjoying time with friends and classmates.

Many of the younger students who participated in Friends Fest also attended the annual Friends Fest track and field meet held last fall at Burleson ISD Stadium, making the arena event another opportunity for students to gather, build friendships and celebrate inclusion.

Friends Fest is one of several senior projects completed by Godley High School students each year, giving seniors the opportunity to design and lead initiatives that serve others and positively impact the school community.
