Godley High School senior Taryn Franks is taking her passion for agriculture to the next level, signing to join the livestock judging team at Howard College during a ceremony held April 30, 2026, at GHS.

Located in Big Spring, the Howard College Livestock Judging Team provides a competitive, hands-on experience evaluating cattle, sheep and goats at contests across Texas and the nation. Team members build critical thinking, communication and decision-making skills while competing at major livestock events.

Franks has been a dedicated member of Godley FFA, currently serving as chapter parliamentarian. As a senior, she competed at the state level in livestock judging Career Development Events and was also part of the agricultural advocacy team in Leadership Development Events. Throughout her high school career, she has participated in numerous FFA competitions and livestock shows.
