Godley Wildcat Football players and families placed a strong emphasis on academics during the first Star Party on August 28, 2024, at Godley High School.

The Star Party is a new yearly tradition where student athletes are celebrated for their academic success from the previous semester. Each athlete is awarded stars based on high grades they earned. The stars are placed the same on each helmet to show the importance of academic success.

"The Star party is a great tool for our coaches to tell our athletes ‘thank you’ for being great students first,” commented head coach and athletic director Danny Dudgeon. “We are proud we have so many wonderful students and want to celebrate all the success they achieve academically."
