Erin Johnson has been named the new head coach for the Godley Ladycat volleyball team, according to an announcement from Godley ISD on February 21, 2025.

Johnson is currently an assistant coach at Ponder High School, where the Lady Lions reached the Class 4A state semifinals in 2024.  She previously coached at Liberty Christian School and Bridgeport High School and also with club volleyball teams.

“We are excited to welcome Coach Johnson to the Wildcat family.  She brings a wealth of knowledge to our Ladycat volleyball team,” commented Kurtis Flood, principal of Godley High School.  “We are excited to see her lead the Ladycats to greatness.  She is also a great addition to our special education department, and we look forward to her working with our students.”

Johnson was a standout volleyball player at Granbury High School, graduating in 2016.  She also competed in college at Texas Woman’s University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.
