
Nine Godley ISD elementary students were recognized as nominees for the National Math Stars program during the Godley ISD Board of Trustees meeting on April 20, 2026, at Godley High School.
The nominated students are:
- Legacy Elementary School: Blake Carlin, Graham Kelley, Landon Glegg, Colton Irvin
- Pleasant View Elementary School: Aric Summitt, Brooks Phillips, Kason Anslum, Noah Mosier
- R.B. Godley Elementary School: Everhett Lipscomb
National Math Stars is a 10-year, fully funded program designed to ensure mathematically extraordinary students from all communities have the resources and opportunities needed to reach the frontiers of math and science.
“These nominations reflect the incredible potential of our students and the strong foundation being built in our elementary classrooms,” Gifted and Talented Coordinator Jennifer Camp said. “We are excited to celebrate their achievement and the opportunities this program can provide for students and families.”
According to the organization, National Math Stars supports students beginning as early as third grade and continues through the end of high school. The program works closely with students and families to create individualized learning pathways aligned to each student’s strengths and interests.
The organization invests more than $100,000 in support and resources for each student over the course of the program. Benefits include:
- Advanced coursework, summer enrichment camps and math coaching
- Annual family stipends for enrichment opportunities
- In-person and virtual events, along with family and student resources
- Monthly advising for families, including learning plans, school support and college guidance
National Math Stars was founded in 2023 with a mission to expand access and opportunity in math and science education.
