Godley Independent School District - Empowering Students

Logo Title

Godley ISD students who won the fourth annual Career and Technical Education (CTE) Poster Contest were honored by the Godley ISD Board of Trustees on February 18, 2026, at Godley High School.

Sponsored by the district’s CTE program, the contest invited students in grades pre-kindergarten through eighth to creatively illustrate this year’s theme, “My Future Workspace: Where Dreams Go to Work!”

Winning entries reflected a wide range of career aspirations — from astronauts, nurses, firefighters, dentists and soldiers to teachers, farmers, welders and lawyers. Students also envisioned futures as authors, artists, animators, photographers and movie directors, while others imagined careers in public service and leadership such as Texas senator, as well as unique pathways including jockey, women’s flag football athlete, YouTuber and even princess. The artwork highlighted both creativity and the district’s emphasis on early career exploration and student readiness.

Each campus selected top posters from every grade level, and a district-level committee reviewed those finalists to determine overall winners and runners-up.
