Godley ISD students winning the second annual CTE Poster Contest were honored by school board trustees on February 21, 2024.

With the competition sponsored by the school district’s career and technical education program, students in grades PK-6 created posters highlighting the theme “Imagine Me As …” With creativity, students included photos, artwork and written material to highlight their dreams for future careers. 

Campuses selected top posters from each grade level, and then a district-level committee chose one winner from each grade level across the district.

Students honored from Godley 6th Grade Campus, Legacy Elementary School, Pleasant View Elementary School and R.B. Godley Elementary School were:

• Pre-Kindergarten:  Greyson Chapa, Pleasant View; runner-up - Avery Wink, Pleasant View

• Kindergarten:  Falyn Dutton, Legacy; Harper Lancaster, Legacy

• 1st Grade:  Waylon Underwood, Pleasant View; Weston Leonhardt, R.B. Godley

• 2nd Grade:  Selah Gillard, R.B. Godley; Lyla Weatherby, Legacy

• 3rd Grade:  Holden Partain, R.B. Godley; Sebastian Gurrola, Pleasant View

• 4th Grade:  Gerrardo Serrano, R.B. Godley; Bopper Edwards, R.B. Godley

• 5th Grade:  Emily Campbell, Pleasant View; Kaiden Wade, Pleasant View

• 6th Grade:  Jimena Ramirez, G6; Makayla Olson, G6
