Godley ISD students winning the first annual CTE Poster Contest were honored by school board trustees on February 13, 2023.

With the competition sponsored by the school district’s career and technical education program, students in grades PK-7 created posters highlighting the theme “Imagine Me As …” With creativity, students included photos, artwork and written material to highlight their future careers. 

Campuses selected top posters from each grade level, and then a district-level committee chose one winner from each grade level across the district.

Students honored were:

• Pre-Kindergarten:  Jaxtyn Patterson, R.B. Godley Elementary; honorable mention - Asha Cannon-Watts, R.B. Godley Elementary

• Kindergarten:  Sloane Tompkins, Legacy Elementary; honorable mention - Monroe Mitchell, Legacy Elementary

• 1st Grade:  Lauren Storie, Legacy Elementary; honorable mention - Holton Mabry, Pleasant View Elementary

• 2nd Grade:  Ezekiel Rodriguez, R.B. Godley Elementary; honorable mention - Ryan Ames, Pleasant View Elementary

• 3rd Grade:  Thayer Rose, Legacy Elementary; honorable mention - Alexis Herrin, Pleasant View Elementary

• 4th Grade:  Emily Campbell, Pleasant View Elementary; honorable mention - Bexley Johnson, R.B. Godley Elementary

• 5th Grade:  Piper Sosebee, R.B. Godley Elementary; honorable mention - Keegan Shelton, Legacy Elementary

• 6th Grade:  Mercedes Muesse, Godley 6th Grade Campus

• 7th Grade:  Lesley Rodriguez, Godley Middle School; honorable mention - Juan Olalde II, Godley Middle School
