Mark Chauveaux, head coach of the Godley Ladycat basketball team, was honored at the UIL state tournament on March 1, 2024, at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

He was among a small group of Texas high school coaches recognized for reaching win milestones during the 2023-24 season.

Chauveaux won his 600th game on Dec. 29 when the Godley girls defeated Waco Robinson 50-33 during tournament play in Canyon.

The Ladycat head coach since 1999, Chauveaux also serves as the district’s girls athletic director.  Prior to Godley, the coach was in Adrian and Westbrook.  Chauveaux took the Ladycats to the state tournament in 2017.
