Godley ISD honored a child nutrition employee and a maintenance employee through the Safe Employee Recognition Campaign for the 2023-24 school year.

Recognized with the safety awards were Tracy Turner, the child nutrition manager at R.B. Godley Elementary School, and William Weatherly, a general maintenance worker.

The SERC, organized by the Public Workers’ Compensation Program, honored employees for safe behaviors, such as helping others avoid injury, consistently reminding others of safe practice, routinely wearing proper safety protective equipment and reminding others, and making others aware of hazards.

“Tracy and William really go above and beyond to promote a safe work environment and to provide a great example for their colleagues,” commented Assistant Superintendent Jason Karnes.
