Godley ISD Campus Spelling Bee Winners

Several Godley ISD students are advancing to the area spelling bee after earning top honors at their campus competitions held in January 2026.

Representing Godley ISD at the next level are Isaiah Castro, a second grader from R.B. Godley Elementary School; Tucker Darnaby, a fifth grader from Legacy Elementary School; and McKenzie Gibbs, a fifth grader from Pleasant View Elementary School.

The area spelling bee, which will include winners from schools across Johnson County, is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 30, in Cleburne.

Campus spelling bee results include:

Legacy Elementary School

• Tucker Darnaby, first place

• Madison Dudley, second place

• Colton Sharp, third place

Pleasant View Elementary School

• McKenzie Gibbs, first place

• Leighton Harper, second place

• Bryson Morris, third place

R.B. Godley Elementary School

• Isaiah Castro, first place

• Rosalie Molina, second place

• Kennedy Rosser and Canon White, tied for third place

The annual competition is sponsored by the Scripps National Spelling Bee. The area champion will advance to a Fort Worth regional contest.
