Godley High School senior Camden Darder announced plans to join the bass fishing team at Dallas Baptist University during a signing ceremony on May 1, 2025.

The Patriots compete in competitions across the southeastern part of the United States, with tournaments in Arkansas, South Carolina and Tennessee in addition to Texas.

Darder and partner Blane Applegate competed at the Texas High School Bass Association regional tournament at Lake Lewisville.  Last year, the pair competed at the THSBA state championship on May 31-June 1 at Lake Conroe after placing at the regional contest at Possum Kingdom Lake.
