Godley High School baseball players Tabor Anderson and Braxton Spohn have earned Class 4A All-State honors from the Texas Sports Writers Association following standout performances during the 2026 season.

Anderson was selected to the Class 4A All-State Third Team at first base, while Spohn received honorable mention recognition at catcher.

Both Wildcats were juniors during the 2026 season and are now seniors at Godley High School.

The Texas Sports Writers Association recognition adds to an impressive list of postseason honors for the two Wildcats. Anderson and Spohn were also selected to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Class 4A All-State Second Team.

Godley received additional postseason recognition when Gio Molina, also a junior during the 2026 season, was selected to participate in the North Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Class 2A-4A All-Star Game.

The Texas Sports Writers Association recognizes the athletic accomplishments of Texas high school student-athletes through its annual all-state teams. The organization includes sports writers and editors from daily and weekly newspapers across Texas as well as online sports media.

TXSWA members promote the accomplishments of high school teams and individual student-athletes while supporting sportsmanship, character, integrity and honesty among student-athletes, coaches and others involved in Texas high school athletics.

Anderson, Spohn and Molina helped lead the Wildcats during the 2026 baseball season, which included a trip to the area round of the Class 4A playoffs.
