Godley 6th Grade Campus was in the spotlight at the Godley ISD school board meeting on January 22, 2024, at Godley High School.

Principal Stephanie Wynne highlighted academic departments as well as front office personnel.  She discussed data collection and review discussed during professional learning community (PLC) meetings so that teachers ensure that all students are mastering content.  Wynne also talked about intervention strategies for student success.  She also provided examples of fun learning activities that help keep students engaged as well as other campus achievements and successes.

Michelle Sveum, the associate principal as well as the principal for LINKS Academy, provided an overview of LINKS as well as the disciplinary alternative placement program.  Seventeen students have already graduated after completing all local and state requirements, and the campus has also helped students finish if they were not successful in prior school years.

Leading the pledges to the U.S. and Texas flags at the beginning of the meeting were members of the G6 Principal’s Advisory Council.  PAC members are Ifeoluwa Adedoja, Mia Alejandro, Anthony Azpeitia, Gavin Damron, Aubree Daniel, Presley Darder, Cooper Day, Gracie DeFoor, Peyton Hallak, Maddox Hill, Harper Jabri, Havyn Lilly, Hadley McClure, Je' Nessa Melgoza, Martha Moreno, Hellen Nevarez, Mason Nichols, Addaleigh Perez, Makenna Robinson, Maesey Singleton, Piper Sosebee, Nash Staton, Peyton Steele, Blakely Thompson, Hoyt Thornton, Max Van Wart, Piper Wade and Baylor Welborn.
