"Be Nice, Check It Twice" and "Stop the Prop"
Godley ISD emphasizes the need for all personnel to ensure all exterior doors are secure after exiting. Staff and students should never prop open exterior doors for any reason.

Exterior Door Sweeps and Audits
District and campus staff regularly monitor all exterior doors to ensure they are secure. State auditors also conduct unannounced visits to monitor compliance with safety regulations.

Fast Pass
The Godley ISD Fast Pass is designed to streamline the check-in process for parents and guardians visiting our campuses. For mass check-in events, the Fast Pass helps make the process quick and efficient while enhancing the safety of students and schools.

Godley ISD Police Department
The Godley ISD Police Department was certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) in 2023. As a growing school district, having a police department provides focused attention on the safety and security of students, staff, visitors, campuses and other district facilities.

Raptor Alert Badges
Wearable alert badges provide staff with a discreet method to request emergency or non-emergency assistance, improving response times and communication during critical incidents. The system integrates with district safety technologies and emergency responders.

School Guardians
This program provides added security for students, teachers and staff. Guardians are staff members who volunteer and undergo training and other requirements in order to carry a weapon on campus. To protect these individuals, their identities are kept confidential.

Standard Response Protocol
Godley ISD uses this nationally recognized methodology to ensure a uniform response by faculty, staff and students during school-based emergencies.

StopIt
StopIt provides students, parents and staff with a secure, anonymous way to report concerns such as bullying, cyberbullying, harassment, threats, violence, weapons, discrimination, substance abuse and other safety issues. Reports can be submitted through a mobile app, website or 24/7 hotline and may include text, photos or videos. School administrators receive and investigate reports while maintaining the anonymity of the person submitting the information.

Verkada Visitor Check-In System
All campus visitors must check in at the campus office using a Verkada kiosk, which securely verifies their information by scanning a driver's license or state identification card and printing a visitor badge. The system confirms that the individual is not listed as a registered sex offender. A Fast Pass helps ease the check-in process for regular visitors while still requiring background reviews.

Window Film
The district has installed shatter-resistant safety and security film on exterior windows.

• Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are available throughout district facilities to provide life-saving assistance during cardiac emergencies.
• Authorized staff members may administer EPIPEN® auto-injectors to individuals experiencing anaphylaxis and Narcan® (naloxone) to individuals experiencing an opioid-related drug overdose.
• Bleeding control kits are strategically placed in district facilities to assist in the immediate treatment of severe bleeding emergencies.
• Campuses maintain emergency "bug out" bags containing pre-packaged supplies and resources to support students and staff during emergencies, evacuations or lockdown situations.
• Staff members receive CPR training and certification to enhance emergency preparedness and response capabilities.
• Godley ISD partners with local law enforcement agencies, including providing facilities for the Johnson County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team and other first responders to conduct training exercises that strengthen emergency response coordination and preparedness.
