Godley ISD Safety & Well-Being

At Godley ISD, the safety and security of our students is always our top priority and we take this responsibility very seriously. Our thorough safety program covers prevention, intervention, preparedness, emergency protocol, and building security.

GISD routinely reviews safety and security procedures and makes adjustments when necessary.  We work closely with local law enforcement to ensure that our students and faculty consistently practice our safety protocols and provide emergency training to our employees. We appreciate the continued support from students, staff, and our community to help keep our school safe.

Reporting

We encourage anyone with information about any bullying incident, security incident or other matter of concern to contact us immediately by phone, by email or through the StayALERT system.

For non-school hours:

  • Report through the StayALERT system:  www.stayalert.info (anonymous option is available)

  • For emergencies:  call 9-1-1

  • For non-emergencies:  call 817-556-6060

For both the emergency and non-emergency numbers, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office dispatch will contact our GISD Police Department and other local law enforcement.

Posting on social media without clear information is not helpful and actually hinders any investigation.  Tagging the school district or law enforcement agencies is also not the best way to inform us.  Instead, please contact us directly during school hours, use the StayALERT system or call the emergency/non-emergency numbers listed above during non-school hours.
