Nikki Nix

Nikki Nix became the Director of Career and Technical Education in 2022. 

Nix earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in business computer information systems from Midwestern State University and a master's degree in educational technology leadership from Lamar University.  She completed a Doctor of Education degree from Arkansas State University in December 2023.

With nearly 20 years of experience in public education, Nix began her career in Wichita Falls as a business and audio/visual teacher at Rider High School.  She taught business at Burleson High School and audio/visual classes at Centennial High School for several years, while also serving as a dual enrollment teacher with Hill College.  Nix served as an academic advisor at Lake Dallas High School before becoming CTE coordinator for Grand Prairie ISD.  Before coming to Godley, she served as CTE director and oversaw The MILE, an innovative secondary campus, in Midlothian ISD.

Over her career, Nix has served on numerous district committee and advisory boards.  She was Teacher of the Month for Burleson ISD and a Teacher of the Year nominee in Wichita Falls.

Nix also has pursued extensive professional development through state and national organizations and also presented at several state and national conferences.

She is married, and her husband, Kenneth, is a special education teacher.
