Zane Gregg Remembrance Ceremony

We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic loss of Godley Wildcat, Zane Gregg. Zane was a senior at GHS. He was an amazing young man. Our thoughts, prayers, and condolences are with his family, friends, and loved ones. School counselors are available for students and staff during this time to offer comfort and support. GISD students are hosting a remembrance ceremony and balloon release tonight, 8/5/19, in Zane's honor at 8pm at the baseball field.

Chromebook Coverage Fees

We here at Godley ISD just want to send out a friendly reminder that all students in grades 5-12 are charged a yearly insurance fee for their Chromebook. The fees vary by grade and income level, but under no circumstance will the fee exceed $30 per student or $50 per family. The fee is due before the students will be allowed to pick up their schedules. Continue on to the full article for more detailed information.

Godley ISD will host our annual Title I Public Meeting on Tuesday,
September 17, 2019.  The purpose of the Title I meeting is to provide
information to parents of participating children about the Title I
program and their right to be involved in their child’s education.
Following the Title I meeting, there will be an education program for
parents/guardians of students with dyslexia and related disorders.
This program will include awareness of characteristics of dyslexia and
related disorders, information on testing and diagnosis of dyslexia,
information on effective strategies for teaching dyslexic students,
and awareness of information on modification, especially modifications
allowed on standardized testing.  Finally, we will be soliciting
community input for our 2019-2020 Targeted Improvement Plans at the
elementary, intermediate, and LINKS campuses.

There will be two options to attend:

9:00 am at the Intermediate 2-4 Campus Cafeteria

We will have a translator available at both meetings for our Spanish
speaking families.
