One of Godley Independent School District’s strategic design goals is to empower students with the digital tools necessary to lead in tomorrow’s world. Our Chromebook program provides the tools needed to succeed in a world that is increasingly collaborative, internet-based and technology-oriented.
While the Chromebooks are purchased and paid for by the District, there will be an insurance fee for all students grades 5-12 and the fee will be offset by a decrease in school supplies necessary. This fee will need to be paid before students will be issued their schedule. These students will be assigned a Chromebook at the beginning of the year.
The insurance fee paid will cover the first repair needed but repairs after that will be the responsibility of the family as described in the Chromebook Policy Handbook which you will receive at registration.
5th-6th grade: $30 (this fee covers both years)
7th-8th grade: $30 (this fee covers both years)
9th-12th grade: $30 yearly. This fee is paid yearly and covers the device at home and at school.
There is a $50 maximum each family will be charged and students who qualify for free/reduced lunches will pay $20 with a maximum of $30 per family.
