The mission of Godley ISD Counseling Services is to provide a data-driven, comprehensive program that promotes academic, social-emotional, and future-ready growth for all students.

GODLEY ISD COUNSELING SERVICES BELIEF STATEMENT

Godley ISD School Counselors believe in:

  • Development of whole self, balance of mental/social emotional and physical well-being

  • Sense of acceptance, respect, support, and inclusion for self and others

  • Positive attitude toward work and learning

  • Self-confidence in ability to succeed

  • Effective school counseling is a collaborative process

  • Comprehensive school counseling programs promote and enhance academic, career, and social/emotional outcomes

  • The school counselor’s role is to provide a data driven, developmental counseling program to meet the needs of ALL students through a guidance curriculum, individual student planning, responsive services, and system support.

  • School counselors will abide by the ASCA Ethical Standards for School Counselors to make informed decisions and assist students in maximizing their unique potential.
