Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Godley ISD pre-kindergarten families are encouraged to register their children for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a free program that helps young learners build a love of reading.

Children younger than 5 receive a free, age-appropriate book in the mail each month until their fifth birthday.

How it works:

• Register your child online or complete a print-and-mail registration form.
• Your child’s first book, The Little Engine That Could, arrives within 8-12 weeks.
• A new book arrives each month through your child’s fifth birthday.
• When your child turns 5, they receive Look Out Kindergarten, Here I Come!
• Children also receive special birthday and graduation messages from Dolly Parton.

Reading together helps strengthen early literacy skills, build vocabulary and prepare children for kindergarten and future success in school.
