Credit for this module can be earned in two ways: self-certification or workshop attendance. Since most people are now familiar with the basic computer skills we allow this module to be a self-certification.
SELF-CERTIFICATION
If you feel you already possess the skills listed on the attached Skill Set Sheet, you may initial each object and sign both the staff and evaluator lines at the bottom of the page. Be sure to sign and make a copy to keep for your files before turning it in to your campus office.
If you feel that you understand most of the skills but need a minimum amount of help in one or two areas, you may still self-certify. Contact Kim Reynolds (kreynolds@godleyisd.net or 817-389-2382) and explain what you need assistance in learning. If it is something that can be answered by email or in a short time during your conference period of after school she will try to assist you.
Remember, it is necessary that you have basic computer skills before attending the remainder of workshops in this training.
WORKSHOP
However, if you need more than a little help, you will need to request a Basic Computer Skills Workshop. We schedule these on an “as needed” basis. These workshops are only 2-3 hours in length and can be scheduled to meet the teacher’s needs. It is necessary that you have the basic computer skills listed for Module 1 before attending other workshops.
