                                                                                                                                                                                          Lesson Plans: week of 5-19-2008

Down to the homestretch! Except for retakes, the TAKS test is done for another year.

Parents, the tendency is for the students to have a "let-down", as far as school is concerned, at this time of year. Please encourage them to continue working until the end of school.

reading: vocabulary, current events, short stories, plays, novels, fluency practice, sight words, context clues, making predictions, making inferences, phonics and phonemic awareness, word attack, drawing conclusions, and basic comprehension

IEP goals, review and practice--- ( IEP goals take up the majority of class time; since the individual goals from one student to another may vary widely, as to content and grade level, it is not practical to list them all in this format.)
