Hi! My name is Kathy Brister and I teach 6th grade keyboarding and coach 7th and 8th grade girls' basketball and track. I have been teaching for 24 years and I love it. I am married with one daughter. I like to read and hang out with my family in the summer. My husband, Greg, is also a teacher at Godley Intermediate School. My daughter, Becca, is a sophomore at the High School in Godley. Go Wildcats!
Keyboarding Activities:
| April 22-May 30 | 6th 6 weeks |
| April 22 | Students will practice 10-key and create a letterhead. |
| April 23 | Students will practice 10-key and type a letter using yesterday's letterhead. |
| April 24 | Students will practice 10-key and type a personal business letter. |
| April 25 | Students will be type 10-key and type an outline. |
| April 28 | Students will format and type an outline. |
| April 29 | TAKS testing |
| April 30 | TAKS testing |
| May 1 | Students will format and type a personal business letter. |
| May 2 | Students will fill in parts of speech and type a mad lib. (Love letter) |
| May 6 | Students will take a test and work on timings. |
| May 7 | Students will type a Mother's Day letter. |
| May 8 | Students will type a MLA report on Lightning |
| May 9 | Students will type a paper called Who To Believe and decorate their envelopes for Mother's Day |
| May 12 | Students will learn to insert tables |
| May 13 | Students will format a table for a grade |
| May 14 | Students will type a MLA report for a test grade |
| May 15 | Students will learn to split and merge cells. |
| May 16 | Field Day for 6th graders |
| May 19 | Students will learn how to insert superscript and subscript and will type a table to practice. |
| May 20 | Students will type a table to use in a later report. |
| May 21 | Students will type a three page standard report with 3 tables inserted into the report. |
| May 22 | Students will finish the report from Wednesday. |
| May 23 | Students will type an MLA report for a test grade. |
| May 27 & 28 | Students will type on the Mavis Beacon program and record grades or make up work that has been missed. |
