Classroom Rules
- NO GUM
- Talk only with permission.
- Be in your seat when the tardy bell rings.
- Bring all supplies for class-you will not be allowed to leave.
- No put-downs.
- Do not copy other student’s work.
- Leave everyone else’s everything alone.
- Follow all procedures.
Consequences
1st time- name in discipline book no points deducted
2nd time-name in discipline book 3 points deducted *
3rd time -office referral/notice home/ 5 points deducted
parent conference
4th time- office referral refer to discipline procedures in handbook
*NO ONE WRITES IN DISCIPLINE BOOK BUT ME
Rewards
Procedures for beginning class
- Enter the classroom quietly.
- Get materials ready for class. Sharpen pencils, get make-up work, etc.
- BE IN YOUR SEAT WHEN THE TARDY BELL RINGS OR YOU WILL BE COUNTED TARDY.
Procedures for asking questions.
- Raise your hand and wait for a reply.
- Do not yell or ask your question without permission.
Procedure for ending class
- Stay in your seat when the bell rings.
- Listen for final instructions.
- Wait to be dismissed by teacher.
Procedure for “heading” on papers
- In the upper right hand corner of a piece of notebook paper, you will put your first and last name.
- Under your name, you will write the date.
- Under the date, you will write the word SCIENCE followed by the number of your class period..
- Write a title for every assignment.
- There will be a 10-point grade deduction on the assignment for incomplete or missing headings.
Procedure for when you are absent.
- Get your assignment from the make-up work box. (Red box on the right side of the board.)
- Complete assignment. You have one day for each day of an excused absence.
- Write ABSENT above the title of the assignment.
- Turn it in to me.
