This is a base list of spelling words for your child to learn this week. Please help your child learn the spelling and meaning of each word. Explain to them and also try to give them some real experiences with these words. We will also add several math words that your child is using in their math writing. We call the other words "heart words" because your child should know them by heart. These words are placed on our classrooms word walls. No excuse words are words that they have to know by the end of 2nd grade. The students will be held accountable for the meaning of the vocabulary words, but not the spelling.
