Connie Atwood
This is my 26th year in education. I received my degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1976. I began my career in education teaching seventh and eighth grade science. In 1993 I received my Master's Degree in counseling from Baylor University. Along the way I also completed requirements for an elementary certification and a gifted and talented certification. I have been a school counselor for 14 years. This is my 13th year at Godley Elementary School.
My husband, Danny, and I live in Cleburne. Our only child, Sara, is our pride and joy. She spent 6 years at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire where she earned her first 3 college degrees. Now she is a graduate student at the University of California Berkeley working on a PhD in Biomechanical Engineering. Her goal is to be a professor of Engineering at a University and continue her research on artificial knee and hip replacement technologies. I have lived in Cleburne all my life. Danny and I both graduated from Cleburne High School in 1972 and Sara graduated from Cleburne High School in 1999. Some of the things I enjoy doing are traveling, reading a good book, going to the movies, trying new restaurants and spending time with family and friends. I am also a CASA (court appointed special advocate) volunteer for Johnson County.
