Last night's match up between the Springtown Porcupines ended up in a close victory winning 52-46 in the 4A bi-district playoff game. The win against Springtown in an early season game proved that the Porcupines were of no challenge to the Wildcat offense and defense. Devin Bolden had a good night scoring 30 of the team's 52 points. Also, Mark Smith, Turner Hobby, Rhett Davis, and Bobby Goodloe helped the team claim the win over the Porcupines. The Wildcats will be on their way to Eastland, Friday to play the Abilene Wylie Bulldogs in a 4A Area playoff game.(Click headline for slideshow)

After a loss against Stephenville during the early season, the Lady Cats were determined not to let it happen a second time. With Jordyn Logan suffering a leg injury in the first half; Jaycee Pannel, Leanna James, Kaitlyn Landers, Kaylee White, and Makaila Tyer stepped up to be the main contributors to the successful Lady Cat offense and defense. The girls wound up winning 39-29 and are on their way to Lubbock, TX to face the Seminole Maidens in the 4A Regional Semi-Finals Friday.(Click headlines for more)
Our varsity girls basketball team was scheduled to play Stephenville at Aledo High School at 6:00pm on Tuesday, for the regional quater final championship. Our boys basketball team was scheduled to play Springtown, also at Aledo, immediately following the girls game for the bi-district championship. Aledo ISD informed us that since they canceled school on Tuesday the 24th, they will be unable to host our double header basketball games that evening. Therefore, both games will be bumped to the following night, Wednesday February 25th, at Aledo High School. The girls game will still start at 6:00pm with the boys game starting immediately afterwards. Come out and support your Godley Wildcats and Ladycats!
